Screen Actors Guild Awards (Netflix, Sunday, 8 p.m.)
Awards season ramps up with the 31st annual SAG-AFTRA gala. This year’s ceremony is hosted by Kristen Bell, with Wicked, A Complete Unknown, and Anora topping the film nominees and Shōgun, The Bear, and The Diplomat leading the TV ones. Plus, Jane Fonda gets the Lifetime Achievement Award tonight.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society (NBC, Sunday, 10 p.m.)
NBC fills the Good Girls void with another fun thriller about friends with juicy secrets. Grosse Pointe Garden Society centers on four members of the eponymous club who commit a deadly crime, with the show’s flashbacks slowly revealing how and why they did it. Check out The A.V. Club‘s review.
Running Point (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
Mindy Kaling is back at Netflix after Never Have I Ever with Running Point, in which Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) unexpectedly becomes in charge of the family business (that is, a Los Angeles basketball team). The ensemble includes Max Greenfield, Brenda Strong, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Jay Ellis, Justin Theroux, and Chet Hanks. The A.V. Club‘s review publishes on Thursday.
The Americas (NBC, Sunday, 7 p.m.)
This 10-part docuseries spotlights habitats, ecosystems, and animals across North and South America. BAFTA winner Mike Gunton created the project, which boasts Tom Hanks’ narration and Hans Zimmer’s score.
Suits LA (NBC, Sunday, 9 p.m.)
Aaron Korsh dives back into the world of Suits for this L.A.-based spin-off. In the show, Stephen Amell plays a cutthroat entertainment lawyer who struggles with family issues while trying to keep up with office politics and legal cases. Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg co-star, while original Suits star Gabriel Macht returns as Harvey Specter.
Devil In The Family: The Fall Of Ruby Franke (Hulu, Thursday, 12:01 a.m.)
Devil In The Family chronicles the jarring case of Ruby Franke, a social-media influencer and mother whose facade of a happy life was shattered when she was arrested for child abuse in 2023. The episodes look at her rise to fame on YouTube and features new interviews with her kids, friends, and neighbors.
Toxic Town (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
Based on a real-life environmental scandal in the ’80s, Toxic Town follows group of mothers who go up against their small English town’s council over waste mismanagement. The cast includes Jodie Whittaker, Aimee Lou Wood, Claudia Jessie, Rory Kinnear, Robert Carlyle, and Joe Dempsie.
